How to Build Lean Muscle Continuously

Switch Your Workout Routines for Continues Muscle Growth

There is one important tip that I have learned over the years about building muscle and losing fat that is so very IMPORTANT that I honestly cannot emphasize it enough.  This tip is the Fitness Tip for Life which is how very important it is to change your workouts often. No one could have told me that 15 years ago.  Unfortunately it is sometimes the mindset of thinking that we know it all that keeps us from achieving our goals.  I too have been there.  Even as a non-drinker I do like to think, like wine I get better with age. (and much wiser too!)

You can imagine how it is to be in a weight training or body building routine and you are feeling excited because you are putting on some good mass and muscle.  You are 6 to 8 weeks into your program and hoping to put on another 10 lbs and someone in the gym starts talking to you about changing your workout routine.  And who really wants to listen to someone telling them that they should change their routine when it appears to be working?  Not me and probably not you either!  But the reality of it, WE MUST CHANGE THEM OFTEN!  This same tip applies to burning body fat too and pretty much any fitness or exercise program.  And many of the tips in my EXtreme Fat Loss book can also be applied for building lean muscle.

One way to build lean muscle is to lose undesired body fat.  Check out my new book "28 Days to EXtreme Fat Loss" today for lots of cutting edge information, very helpful suggestions and ideas, and plenty of inspiration and motivation.

Your body quickly adapts to what you are doing in your workouts. Changing the type of workout you are doing every 4 to 6 weeks is a GREAT IDEA! After 8 to 10 weeks you will want to take a week off from weight training anyways to assist yourself dramatically in the recovery and recuperation process. (Some say 12 week but I prefer 8 weeks)  Changing things up after 4 weeks then training for another 4 weeks is also a great idea.  Then you can take a week off and begin to plan your strategy for your next 8 weeks. Taking a full week off also helps to recharge your brain batteries!  Lord knows we all need this!

When I take a week off, I usually take off from Friday or Saturday to the Monday or Tuesday the week after which usually gives me about 10 or 11 days to recharge my batteries and refresh my my mind.  I still do cardio at this time at this time.  A person would still be advised to do cardio then on a limited basis during this time off.
